Dr. Vishal Savani is a Mumbai based Consultant Psychiatrist with more than eight years experience in the field with special interest in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He is currently associated with Dr. Daruwalas Polyclinic, and The Apollo Clinic (Kandivali and Vidyavihar). He conducts school clinics and pays home visits on request. Dr. Savani is also associated with an expert team of professionals for undertaking several Psychological Testing, IQ Testing, Educational Evaluations, Career Counseling, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists and Special Educators.
Dr. Savani has completed MBBS from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences in Nashik followed by Diploma in Psychological Medicine (DPM) from KJ Somaiya Medical College & Research Centre, Mumbai. He has worked at the Child Guidance Clinic (School Mental Health Clinic), Centre for Learning Disability at Nair Hospital. Dr. Savani has organized and participated in several multi-diagnostic medical camps in addition to conducting “Learning Disability”- a training workshop at IACAM 2011. He has been playing an important role in conducting several teachers training programmes and seminars on “Learning Disability and other developmental disorders”.
Dr. Savani's approach towards patient care is multi modal which involves not only medical treatment but also intense counselling and giving special weightage to understanding of the conditions especially for caregiver / family members / teachers.
